The 2024 edition of this music festival will feature world-class talent, food and local merchants, at the historic War Memorial Plaza

BALTIMORE, MD (Thursday, August 1, 2024) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott announced the talent lineup Charm City Live 2024. Dynamic hip-hop duo Method Man and Redman, and hip-hop soul and R&B singer Monica, are co-headlining the festival, taking place on Saturday, September 21, from 12-9 p.m.

Additional music acts include, Afrobeats singer Pheelz, R&B, pop sensation Avery Wilson, and R&B duo DVSN. This marks the third year the City has hosted the music festival.

Mayor Scott also announced that the 3rd annual edition of Charm City Live is returning to its original location at War Memorial Plaza. With this year's talent and a move to the inaugural venue, the festival continues to showcase world-class musical artists as well downtown Baltimore.

"I am proud to announce the return of Charm City Live. In 2022, we launched Charm City Live in downtown Baltimore with the best in music. We knew we had to maintain that musical standard, so we are eager to welcome the iconic Method Man and Redman, joined by the amazing Monica, Pheelz, Avery Wilson, and DVSN to our historic downtown," said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. "Every day we see more and more cultural, art and concerts in our downtown venues and spaces. Charm City Live further elevates our downtown cultural experience. This is going to be the perfect celebration to close the summer season."

Charm City Live has been warmly received by Baltimore's residents and visitors, so we continue to build on the festival's offerings, from the best in food vendors, local merchants, to organizations that offer local job opportunities.

Given the festival's return to War Memorial Plaza, residents can expect the following road closures:

Road Closures and Detours for the Charm City Live Festival September 21, 2024

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that lane closures and detours will be implemented on Saturday, September 21, for the Charm City Live Festival taking place at the War Memorial Plaza. Residents of all ages are invited to the lawn for an eclectic blend of art, entertainment, and local eats. Several garages and parking lots onsite will be available and designated for this event. Detours may be subject to change before the actual event.

Road Closures for the Charm City Live Event:

Residents can expect road closures at Gay, Baltimore, Saratoga, Lexington, and Fayette Streets.

Detours for Charm City Live Event:

Westbound E. Fayette Street #1
Make a right turn onto Fallsway, travel north on Fallsway to second traffic signal then turn left onto E. Pleasant Street, traveling west make a left turn onto Guilford Avenue, proceed south towards E. Fayette Street then make a right.

Westbound E. Fayette Street #2
Make a left turn onto S. President Street, at the second traffic signal turn right onto E. Lombard Street, then travel west for approximately five blocks then make a right turn onto N. Calvert Street, proceed north towards E. Fayette Street then make a left.

Southbound S. President Street
Follow President Street south, make a right turn onto E. Lombard Street, proceed west for approximately five blocks towards Calvert Street then make a right turn onto N. Calvert Street, follow N. Calvert Street towards E. Fayette Street then make a left.

Northbound N. Gay Street
Make a right turn at Baltimore Street, proceed east on Baltimore Street to first set of traffic signals then turn left onto President Street, take a slight right turn onto Fallsway, follow Fallsway north to first traffic signal and then turn right back to Gay Street.

Eastbound E. Lexington Street
Make a right turn onto Guilford Avenue, proceed south for approximately two blocks towards Baltimore Street then turn left, follow Baltimore Street for three blocks making a left turn onto President Street.

Southbound Holliday Street
Make a right turn at Saratoga Street, then a left turn onto Guilford Avenue, follow Guilford Avenue towards Baltimore Street then turn left.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid possible delays.

Charm City Live is a free, one-day festival hosted at War Memorial Plaza in downtown Baltimore. The festival features national artists and local-food and merchandise vendors who display and offer goods and services to thousands of attendees. Residents and visitors are encouraged to visit the Charm City Live website for more details and periodic updates. The website includes the application link for all food, retail, and art vendors who wish to participate in this year's Charm City Live festival. WJZ-TV CBS Baltimore will return as Charm City Live's official broadcast media partner. The deadline for all vendor applications is Friday, August 23.
