TRAFFIC ALERT New Castle County New Dates for Long term Ramp Closures for I 295 Construction
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) advises motorists that due to weather there are new dates for the long-term ramp closures connected to the I-295 widening project.
All ramp closures will start on Thursday, August 22nd. The dates in parenthesis are the anticipated opening dates.
· Exit 5 on northbound I-95, the ramp onto Airport Road, closed for 60 days. (October 21st)
· Exit 2 on southbound Rt 141, the ramp onto northbound I-295, closed for 180 days. (February 18th, 2025)
· Ramp from northbound I-295 onto northbound Rt 13, closed for 270 days. (May 19th, 2025)
Additionally there will be multiple lane restrictions at night on northbound I-295 between Airport Road and Rt 13 from Sunday, August 18th to Saturday, August 31st for striping and temporary barrier installation.
