AC Transit Realign Public Hearing and Comment Period

Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District, better known as AC Transit, is California's largest bus-only public transit system. AC Transit Realign is a comprehensive assessment of every bus line in response to the shifts in ridership and commute patterns since the pandemic. The Draft Final Plan represents the outcome of a multi-phased planning and public participation process that started in September 2023. It proposes the introduction of new bus lines, consolidation of some lines, elimination of others, and adjustments to existing bus lines. The Draft Final Plan is now in the public comment period that includes a set of public hearings scheduled for September 9, 10, and 11, 2024. This will be the final opportunity for the public to provide input on Realign before the AC Transit Board of Directors makes its decision in October 2024.
