Temporary Overnight Parking Ban on some Canal District Streets Sunday Night

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Department of Transportation and Mobility announced Friday that workers will be re-painting existing pavement markings in the Canal District and Green Island neighborhoods overnight beginning at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28 and ending at 5:00 a.m. Monday morning.

As a result, parking will be prohibited on one side of the street beginning at 9:00 p.m. Sunday on the following streets:

  • Harding St (Franklin St to Kelley Sq) - No Parking on the west (even #) side.
  • Water St (Franklin St to Kelley Sq) - No Parking on the west (even #) side.
  • Green St (Foster St to Kelley Sq) - No parking on the east (even #) side.
  • Millbury St (Kelley Sq to Quinsigamond Ave) - No parking on the east (odd #) side.


Vehicles that are parked in these designated temporary No Parking zones during the overnight prohibition will be subject to towing.
