Neal Congratulates Deva Kyle on Nomination to Lead PBGC

Today, House Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement applauding President Biden's nomination of Deva Kyle to be Director of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC):

"PBGC plays a vital role in securing the hard-earned pensions of so many workers, and strong leadership at the agency means strong results for the people. From starting her career as a newly minted lawyer at PBGC to being nominated to lead the organization, Deva Kyle's commitment to workers is clear. She will undoubtedly bring the expertise and leadership needed to safeguard workers' pensions and guide the agency through the headwinds of tomorrow, which I saw firsthand when she was a detailee with the Ways and Means Committee. During her time with us, the Butch Lewis Act took shape, and now, that law has saved over 1 million pensions.

"For the sake of our nation's pensioners, I urge the Senate to move quickly on her nomination, and I look forward to working with her again as we unlock opportunity and reward hard work."
