Nighttime Lane Closures on SR 1

Frederica - ; The Delaware Department of Transportation announces there will be nighttime lane closures on SR 1 starting just south of Frederica Road (near the DE Turf Complex) and ending at the South Frederica Interchange and on SR 1 between Old Cemetery Road and Cicada Lane/Spring Hill Drive starting on Monday, July 29th through Labor Day for the replacement of pipes under SR1.

This project will have the following lane closures:

Northbound SR 1:

Sunday: 10 PM - 7 AM (Monday)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8 PM - 7 AM
No lane closures on Friday and Saturday nights

Southbound SR 1:

Sunday: 7 PM - 7 AM (Monday)
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 8 PM - 7 AM
Thursday: 8 PM - 6 AM (Friday)
No lane closures on Friday and Saturday nights

New lane closures and traffic patterns will be announced after Labor Day. This project is expected to be completed in May 2025.

Motorists are to expect delays while traveling in this area and are reminded to slow down in work zones.
