Stanislaus County

Closures On State Routes 99, 132, 108, And Interstate 5

Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 108 (SR-108), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

Full, long-term closures of the vending machine buildings at the northbound and southbound Enoch Christofferson Rest Areas for renovations. The project is expected to last through the fall of 2024.

Closure of the #1 (left) lanes of northbound and southbound SR-99 from Maze Boulevard to Briggsmore Avenue in Modesto for median barrier work beginning Tuesday, August 20, through Wednesday, August 21, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Closure of the #1 (left) lane of southbound SR-99 from SR-219 (Broadway Avenue) to Pelandale Avenue in Modesto for tree work on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

State Route 108

One-way traffic control on SR-108 between Ash Avenue and Oak Avenue in Oakdale for gutter/sidewalk work beginning Monday, August 19, through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m..

State Route 132

Lane shifts between Reinway Avenue and F Street/Hickman Road on SR-132 in Waterford for construction work beginning Monday, August 19, through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Note: Construction is expected to continue through the fall of 2024.

Interstate 5

Full, long-term closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 for construction work. Note:This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
