SINOMACH Deputy General Manager Li Xiaoyu Holds Talks with Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining

On June 6, Li Xiaoyu, the Party standing committee member and deputy general manager held talks with Minister Dubravka Đedović at the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Serbia. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the phase II project of Serbia's Kostolac-B Power Station (hereafter called the "power project) undertaken by CMEC, a subsidiary of SINOMACH. Also attending the talks were Zhang Yu, head of Operation and Management Department of SINOMACH, Wang Bo, Party secretary and chairman of CMEC Group, and Tong Zigang, Party committee member and deputy general manager.
Mr. Li Xiaoyu introduced the results in the finishing work of the power station project, performance test, fire protection acceptance and document submission. The Serbian side praised the advanced technology and generator sets provided by the Chinese side, affirmed the expedited finishing work of the project, and hoped that the Chinese side could arrange more training for the Serbian technicians in the commissioning. The two sides also exchanged views on multiple important issues of common concern and reached a consensus on joint efforts to complete the follow-up objectives and achieve a smooth handover.
Before the meeting, Mr. Li and Dusan Zivkovic, president of Serbian National Power Company or the owner of the power station project, inspected at the project site. He had a friendly talk with Natasa Vuksic, coordinator of the Serbian Presidential Office, who came to the site for inspection. The project progress has been positively assessed by all parties following the field inspections. In addition, Li held a special meeting with the power plant project team to discuss and make arrangements for subsequent project handover.
During his stay in Serbia, Li also visited Li Ming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Serbia, briefed about the recent developments of the power station project and thanked the embassy for its support and guidance. Ambassador Li Ming congratulated the project department on its progress, hoping that it would continue to be in good condition and achieve a successful conclusion at an early date.
Relevant heads of CMEC Group and CMEC participated in the above activities.
