Bridge Replacement Project Continues on Route 14 in South Creek Township, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project continues on the bridge that carries Route 14 over a tributary to South Creek in South Creek Township, Bradford County. The bridge is located approximately 0.6 mile northeast of the intersection with Ayres Road (T-807) and approximately 2.3 miles south of the intersection with Roaring Run Road.

On Monday, August 26, 2024, motorists traveling on Route 14 will be redirected to the temporary two-lane road next to the bridge, while the contractor begins work to remove the existing bridge. On Monday, August 26, Wilkes Road (T-878) will be closed at the intersection with Route 14. A detour using Ayres Road will be in place.

Work will be performed Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorist should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution while traversing on the temporary roadway.

Dean Construction, LLC is the prime contractor for is $1.3 million bridge replacement project. Work on this project includes construction of a temporary roadway, removal of the existing bridge, installation of a precast reinforced concrete box culver, milling, resurfacing, line painting, guide rail upgrades, and tree planting. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in November of 2024.
