Two individuals arrested for CPCS 7th

On September 4, 2024, State Police members arrested John C. Podmore, age 59, of New Russia, NY, and Amanda Mydlarz, age 33, of New Russia, NY, for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th.

On September 4, 2024, at approximately 6:29 p.m., Troopers observed a 2022 orange Dodge Challenger traveling on Russell Road. The operator of that vehicle is known to be Podmore, who does not have a valid New York State driver's license. A traffic stop was initiated and interviewed, Podmore, and passenger Mydlarz. Further investigation determined Podmore has a suspended driver's license and both were in possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics.

Podmore and Mydlarz were arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing. They were released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Saranac Lake for a later date in September.
