Crews from Swank Construction are performing resurfacing and concrete rehabilitation along this and a 2.5-mile span of I-79 in southwestern Pennsylvania -- a $5M infrastructure preservation investment. All work depends on weather and operations.

Work includes concrete patching, dowel retrofit, full-depth corner repair, and spall repair of mainline concrete. Improvements will be made to drainage facilities and earth mounds placed between north and southbound travel lanes. Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) will be updated and connected to the regional network. Bridge decks will be repaired, and bridge seals will be replaced. New signing, delineation, and guide rail will be installed on the mainline of I-79. Completion is expected in early November.
