Concert dedicated to 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour in Fresno

On June 28, a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of world famous Armenian singer chansonnier Charles Aznavour, took place in the Hall of St. Paul Armenian Church in Fresno, California, under the auspices of the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles. The concert was organized with the efforts of Mr. Berj Apkarian, Honorary Consul of Armenia in Fresno. French/Armenian singer David Lussakyan from France presented the songs of Aznavour to the audience.

Representatives of the Armenian community of Fresno, as well as from the consulates of Mexico, Japan and Switzerland, accredited in Fresno and San Francisco were present at the concert. At the end of the concert, Consul General Israyelyan addressed the audience, touching on the unparalleled and immense role that Charles Aznavour has had in the lives of the Armenian nation and Armenia during decades. He also expressed his gratitude to the Armenian community of Fresno, especially to Mr. Berj Apkarian for organizing the beautiful concert.
