State Police arrest Gloversville man following violent Perth Burg...

On July 13, 2024, State Police of Fonda arrested Jesse E. O'Neal, 44, of Gloversville, NY, for Burglary in the first degree, a class "B" felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, a class "D" felony.

On July 13, 2024, at about 1:23 a.m. Troopers responded to a home in Perth, NY, for the reports of an active burglary with a weapon. The investigation determined O'Neal reportedly came to the home uninvited, forcibly entered by breaking a window, and struck the victim multiple times with objects. On arrival, the Troopers located O'Neal in the driveway of the home where he was arrested. The victim, who is known to O'Neal, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at an area hospital.

O'Neal was transported to SP Fonda for processing and then turned over to the Fulton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
