A Volunteer Activity on the Occasion of the Memorial Day of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day
On 28 October 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy organised the community service activity "The Meguro River Banks Clean-up" on the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great Memorial Day, 13 October 2024, and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day, 23 October 2023.
H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, led approximately 35 volunteers, including the officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand and their spouses, together with Shinagawa City sanitation officers, to clean up litters and fallen leaves on the banks of the Meguro River in Shinagawa District. The activity attracted attention from passers-by, notably Shinagawa-ku residents, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation to volunteers for revitalising the areas and improving their living condition. The Shinagawa City also broadcasted this volunteer activity on a local channel.
