Governor Gianforte Celebrates Innovation at Belgrade Business

Cuts ribbon on re-opening for Big Sky Decon

BELGRADE, Mont. - Governor Greg Gianforte recently attended a re-opening ceremony for Big Sky Decon in Belgrade, touting the resilience of Montana's economy and entrepreneurs.

"Montana's economy continues to grow, despite inflationary and workforce pressures brought about by the President Biden's policies," Gov. Gianforte said. "It was great to visit Big Sky Decon in Belgrade to see some of the innovative technologies they are using. Thanks to our pro-business, pro-jobs policies, businesses and entrepreneurs are creating new economic opportunities for Montanans."

Big Sky Decon offers professional decontamination services, including for residential spaces, commercial businesses, and vehicles. Previously known as Kart Kleen, the Made in Montana company offers a variety of services to eliminate bacteria and viruses in heavily trafficked areas like schools.

During the visit, the governor joined Jason Gardiner, Chief Operating Officer of Big Sky Decon to celebrate the expansion and learn more about their latest ultraviolet sanitation device that disinfects machinery coolant.

"Part of being an entrepreneur is seeing a problem and fixing it," Gardiner said. "We're glad to live and work in a state like Montana that rewards innovation and celebrates hard work. I know the work being done in Helena helps businesses like ours offer expanded opportunities to Montanans."

Hearing from the Big Sky Decon team, the governor heard of the company's partnership with DCF Manufacturing in Missoula, which plans to use the new UV-light technology to disinfect and dispose of coolant and other materials.

Since Gov. Gianforte took office in January 2021, nearly 40,000 jobs have been created in Montana. Under his leadership, total employment reached another all-time high in May.

Working with the Legislature, Gov. Gianforte has reformed the state's tax code to promote business investment and job creation, attracting businesses from around the world to Montana.
