Shooting Investigation - Mission Blvd/Industrial Blvd

HAYWARD, Calif., On June. 27, 2024at approximately 11:11 p.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Industrial Boulevard.

As officers responded to the area, Hayward PD Communications received a 9-1-1 call from a 17-year-old male who said he and his friend had been shotand had fled the area. The victims were locatednear the 100 block of W. Tennyson Road, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

The first victim, a 17-year-old Pleasanton resident,was treated for gunshot wounds at a local medical facility and has since been releasedfrom the hospital.

The second victim, an 18-year-old Pleasanton resident, sustained critical injuries from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment and remainson life support at this time.

There is no one in custody for this incident. There is no indicationthat this shooting and the homicide that took place on June 26, 2024 are connected, however that is something being examined, and detectives hope to learnthrough the investigative process.
