U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a member of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, announced today that the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's University Singers will perform during the 60th Presidential Inauguration at the U.S. Capitol on January 20, 2025. The University Singers , directed by Dr. Peter Eklund, will perform outdoors during the nationally televised inaugural ceremony. As the flagship choral ensemble of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University Singers perform a wide range of choral music. With a rich history of prestigious performances, including multiple appearances at Carnegie Hall and international tours, the University Singers showcase the finest and most versatile choral talent at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. "I am thrilled to announce that the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's University Singers will take the national stage during the 60th Presidential Inauguration. These incredibly talented students are not only representing our university, but also showcasing the spirit and excellence of Nebraska to the entire country. Their performance will be a proud moment for all Nebraskans, and I'm confident they will leave a lasting impression on the millions of Americans watching the ceremony," said Senator Fischer.
