FloridaCommerce Awards More Than $6.5 Million to Support Strong Families through the Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program

~ Nine organizations will use the funds to boost self-sufficiency and support strong families in Florida's communities ~

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Today, FloridaCommerce awarded more than $6 million to qualified organizations through the Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program (NCPEP). Nine awards went to organizations that will assist Floridians with employment to create a pathway to self-sufficiency and increase their ability to consistently meet child support payments. The NCPEP enables Floridians to achieve self-sufficiency and overcome challenges that otherwise inhibit their ability to elevate their family's opportunities. More information on NCPEP grants is available here.

"Since 2019, Governor DeSantis has championed initiatives that are pro-family, and promoted programs that elevate Florida's workforce," said Florida Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly. "The NCPEP increases the capability of parents to contribute meaningfully to their families and communities. This funding provides more than financial assistance, giving non-custodial parents access to job training, job search, parenting skills, financial literacy, and more to elevate their families' opportunities."
