PennDOT's Washington County Maintenance Update -- Week of September 16, 2024

Uniontown, PA - Washington County Maintenance Manager Susan Howard has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of September 16. All maintenance activities depend on weather and operations.

Motorists can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone's responsibility.

Base repair:

  • Route 40 (Main Street) in Centerville and West Brownsville boroughs

Bridge replacement:

  • Route 3009 (Sunset Beach Road) in Buffalo Township

Road closed. Posted detour:

Brushing and tree trimming:

Crews will be picking litter, updating and replacing downed signs, and addressing work orders on various state routes countywide.
