Construction accident at TPA

At approximately 7:41 a.m., Tampa International Airport Police received reports of a construction accident involving a construction equipment operator working onsite as part of the Airside A shuttle guideway renovation project. The worker died as a result of his injuries.

Flight operations are not impacted. Passengers being dropped off at Blue Arrivals are being rerouted to the Blue Express lanes during the investigation.

Police and other authorities are investigating the details of the accident. No other information is available at this time.
