Alpine County

One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

ALPINE COUNTY - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-4 (SR-4), State Route SR-88 (SR-88), and State Route 89 (SR-89) for construction and maintenance operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 4

One-way traffic control from Kinney Lakes Trail to the Silver Creek Campground for drainage work beginning Monday, August 19, through Thursday, August 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control at Silver Creek for bridge work beginning Monday, August 19, through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

State Route 88

One-way traffic control at the West Fork Carson River Bridge for bridge work beginning Monday, August 19, through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control from Red Vista Road to Kit Carson Campground Road for drainage work beginning Monday, August 19, through Thursday, August 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 23, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

State Route 89

One-way traffic control from East Carson River to the SR-4/89 junction for drainage work beginning Monday, August 19, through Thursday, August 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control at Markleeville Creek for bridge work beginning Monday, August 19, through Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
