Winter break for students will begin after the conclusion of final examinations on Monday, Dec. 16. On that day, dinner will be the last meal provided by UD Dining Services and residence halls will close at 10 p.m.
With limited exceptions, University offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 23, and will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2. UD facilities will move to an adjusted schedule, outlined below.
For students attending Winter Session, residence halls will reopen for check-in from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, and dinner that night is the first meal scheduled to be served in UD dining halls. Winter Session classes will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Student Wellness and Health Promotion, the Center for Counseling and Student Development and Student Health Services share the following holiday hours. Visit the Student Health and Wellbeing website for more detailed information.
From Dec. 16, 2024, to Jan. 31, 2025, the services provided by Student Wellbeing in Warner Hall and Laurel Hall are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Except:

The last meal in dining halls of the fall 2024 semester will be dinner on Monday, Dec. 16. All locations will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 17, through Wednesday, Jan. 1. The first meal of UD's Winter Session will be dinner served on Thursday, Jan. 2. For the most updated hours, see the Dining Services website.

Checks and envelopes must be dated/postmarked no later than Tuesday, Dec. 31, for the contribution to process in calendar year 2024. All UD departments and units should frequently check mail for contributions and follow the standard process for providing the year-end gifts to the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
Morris Library will be open Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. While Morris Library, the branch libraries and the gallery spaces will be closed Saturday, Dec. 21, through Monday, Jan. 1, many online resources are accessible 24/7 at library.udel.edu. For the most up-to-date hours, visit library.udel.edu/hours.
UD bus service will operate normally through Monday, Dec. 16. "Final Exam buses" will run Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15, from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., one bus on each route. From Tuesday, Dec. 17, through Friday, Dec. 20, UD buses will operate according to the limited holiday schedule. There will be no University bus service from Saturday, Dec. 21, through Monday, Jan. 1. Winter Session buses will begin on Thursday, Jan. 2.

For the week of final exams (Dec. 12-16), Parking Services will not charge for parking in Lot 41, the Visitors Center lot on South College Avenue, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. only. Anyone parking in Lot 41 outside those hours must pay using the kiosks or through the app. From Tuesday, Dec. 17, through Monday, Dec. 23, while classes are not in session and exams are not being held, students with Red or Resident permits may park in Gray lots. From Dec. 24 through Jan. 1, weekend parking rules will be in effect during the holiday break when the University is closed. Normal parking regulations resume on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Winter Session parking permits will be available for sale online beginning Jan. 1, and spring semester permits will be available online beginning Feb. 1.
The Barnes and Noble University of Delaware Bookstore, 83 East Main St., has announced its hours for the remainder of 2024 and early 2025.

University Printing is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 20, when it will close for the winter break. The facility will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, with regular hours (Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The flagship location is open through Dec. 23 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., will close from Dec. 24 through Jan. 2, and reopens Jan. 3 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. UDairy Creamery Café is open Monday to Friday through Dec. 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Café will close from Dec. 22 through Jan. 5. It will be open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 6.
