Highschool-age children in need are often overlooked during the seasonal holiday drives. Typically, highschoolers opt to wear a hoodie rather than a coat. As temperatures drop, let's wrap our community in warmth and kindness. Clean out those closets and drop off your gently used or new hoodies at our designated collection points.
For those who prefer a convenient option, consider donating department store (that sell hoodies) or Amazon gift cards that will be used to purchase hoodies. Please send your gift cards to the Eugene Police Department:
Community Engagement Supervisor, Cherie Nelson, 300 Country Club Rd. Eugene, OR 97401
Your contribution will ensure teenagers stay snug and stylish this winter. Let's come together to make a difference-one hoodie at a time!
Local school districts will distribute the hoodies, allowing the high-school age teens to pick what they are comfortable wearing.
The drive is from December 1 through December 31 and you can donate new hoodies at the following locations:
EPD Headquarters - 300 Country Club Road
EPD Downtown Station - 960 Olive
Donations of department store or Amazon Gift Cards for hoodies - drop off or mail to Eugene Police Community Engagement Team Supervisor Cherie Nelson, Eugene Police, 300 Country Club Road, Eugene, Oregon 97401. (the drive can't accept cash, check or credit card donations). Questions? Contact CET Supervisor Nelson at 541.682.2746.
