Stevenson and LECOM Affiliation Agreement Offers Students Secure Track into Medical and Dental School

Stevenson University has signed an affiliation agreement with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Early Acceptance Program (EAP). The agreement benefits students enrolling in a program of study in Stevenson's Beverly K. Fine School of the Sciences. Now, qualified students applying to Stevenson can also apply to LECOM-the largest medical school in the country-providing a clear roadmap to their future careers.

"We're excited to enter into this affiliation agreement with LECOM," said Ellen Roskes, Ph.D., Dean of Stevenson's Beverly K. Fine School of the Sciences. "At Stevenson, connecting students to their careers is one of our guiding values. This agreement reflects our commitment and offers our students a new pathway to continue their education at the nation's largest medical college."

Through the EAP affiliation agreement between Stevenson and LECOM, students can apply to one of LECOM's programs anytime as a rising high school senior and up until the start of their junior year at Stevenson. After meeting all EAP requirements and graduating from Stevenson, students will have a reserved seat in either the Medical, Dental, or Podiatry degree programs at LECOM.

LECOM President John M. Ferretti, D.O. stated, "LECOM is delighted to announce our partnership with Stevenson University in offering an early acceptance program for students. This collaboration represents our commitment to fostering educational opportunities and providing a seamless pathway for aspiring healthcare professionals. Together, we aim to empower students to pursue their academic passions and embark on a rewarding journey towards a successful healthcare career."
