Free Property Vacation Check

If your summer plans include spending time away from home, here's a reminder to request a free Property Vacation Check from the Diamond Bar-Walnut Sheriff's Station as part of your pre-travel preparation.

These free vacation checks involve a Sheriff's deputy or trained Volunteer Patrol member performing a security inspection outside your home during the days you will be away. The inspection includes checking doors and windows for signs of forced entry and disposing of unsolicited commercial flyers lying on driveways and porches.

Vacation Check requests may be made by completing a form available online at https://lasd.org/walnut-diamond-bar and returning it by email to [email protected]. Individuals without internet access can get assistance by calling the Sheriff's Station at 909-595-2264.
