Free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

Fontana, California (August 3, 2024)- Are you ready to help your community? The City of Fontana invites you to join our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training from August 23-25, 2024. This fun and informative course will teach you important skills to help your family, friends, and neighbors during emergencies and disasters.

Dates: August 23-25, 2024

Times:
Friday, August 23: 6pm - 10pm
Saturday, August 24: 8am - 5pm
Sunday, August 25: 8am - 5pm

Location: City of Fontana Emergency Operations Center, 17005 Upland Avenue, Fontana, CA 92335

As a participant, you'll receive a CERT vest, backpack, and certificate. By the end of the course, you'll have a new set of valuable skills such as fire suppression, cribbing, disaster medical aid, light search & rescue, & more.

This free training is provided to the community by the City of Fontana Emergency Management Program and CERT Volunteers, in collaboration with the Fontana Police Department and the Fontana Fire Protection District. The CERT Basic course is open to all adults aged 18 and older, with no prior knowledge or experience required.
