Investigation into Male's Death at 2000 Broadway Street

December 9, 2024- Houston police are investigating the apparent accidental death of a juvenile male at 2000 Broadway Street about 7:35 a.m today.

The identity of the male, 15, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Detective D. Arnold reported: The male attempted to cross in front of a moving Union Pacific train at the above address when he was struck by the train. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident appears to be accidental in nature and there are no indications of foul play.

An investigation is being conducted by members of the HPD Homicide Division and the Union Pacific Police Department.
