Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8500 Kirby Drive

December 11, 2024- Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 8500 Kirby Drive about 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday (December 10).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer T. Smith reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased person at the above address. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.

It is believed the male was struck by at least one vehicle of unknown make or model. The unknown driver did not stop to provide medical assistance and fled the scene.

At this time, there are no known witnesses to the crash.
