On Monday, Nov. 4, at 2:38 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) responded to a structure fire located on the 9500 block of Lance Road. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames coming from a mobile home. TFD crews acted quickly to control and extinguish the fire. All occupants were out of the home when firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported. The cause of this fire is currently under investigation.

Later, at 4:13 a.m., TFD was dispatched to a second structure fire, this time at a commercial building on the 4300 block of North Monroe Street. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from the single-story structure. Due to the conditions of the building, TFD personnel began extinguishing the fire and protecting the nearby area. No injuries were reported. The State Fire Marshal's Office was called in to investigate the cause of this fire, which remains under investigation.

The Tallahassee Fire Department was assisted on scene at each fire by Leon County Sheriff's Office, Leon County EMS and Talquin Electric Cooperative.
