Pipe Replacement Scheduled Next Week on Catawissa Avenue in the City of Sunbury, Northumberland County

​Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a portion of Catawissa Avenue (Route 4006) in the City of Sunbury and Mile Hill Road (Route 4006) in Upper Augusta Township, Northumberland County, will be closed next Monday, for a pipe replacement project.

On Monday, August 5, 2024, Catawissa Avenue / Mile Hill Road will be closed between Packer Street in the City of Sunbury and Epler Road in Upper Augusta Township, while the Sunbury Municipal Authority replaces a deteriorated pipe near Whitaker Alley.

A detour using Mt Pleasant Road and Mile Post Road (Route 4004) will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
