Executive Order on Immortalising the Memory of Vyacheslav Lebedev

Highlighting Vyacheslav Lebedev's outstanding contribution to the development of the Russian judicial system and Russian legal science, the President has issued instructions to the Government of the Russian Federation, with the participation of the Supreme Court, regarding the establishment of Vyacheslav Lebedev scholarships for students and postgraduates of the Russian State University of Justice, and the conferring of Vyacheslav Lebedev's name to this university.

The Government of Moscow was also recommended to consider the issues of immortalising Lebedev's memory in the capital city.

Vyacheslav Lebedev (1943-2024) was Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation from 1991 to his death.
