Red Nissan Recovered Following Fatal Crash On Nolensville Pike, Man Sought For Questioning

A Crime Stopper tip led Traffic Unit investigators to a home on Radnor Street this morning where the red Nissan Sentra believed to be connected to Saturday evening's fatal crash was successfully recovered.

Investigators are now working to locate Daneri Varela (seen in the attached photo) who is being sought for questioning after the crash on Nolensville Pike killed a 10-year-old girl and critically injured her mother while the two rode on an electric scooter in the bike lane.

The whereabouts of Varela, a native of Honduras, are unknown.

Emily Sanchez-Ramirez died Sunday at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital as a result of her injuries. Her mother, Laura Ramirez-Gonzalez, 28, remains hospitalized at Vanderbilt with life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on Varela's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
