WHAT: Maui Fire Department has the fire knocked down and completely contained. Mop-up operations have started. Maui Police Department continuing to control traffic and provide public assistance.
WHERE: Area of Iao Stream and Haleki'i Pihana Heiau
WHEN: 4pm
IMPACTS: No evacuations necessary. Residual smoke may irritate the eyes and provide respiratory distress.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: Please stay away from the area.
Avoid the area if possible. Monitor radio, TV, and mobile devices for official information.
