City Council meets June 27 to start new fiscal year early

MUSCATINE, Iowa - The City Council of Muscatine voted earlier this year to move their first meeting of July, and of the new fiscal year (originally scheduled for July 4), up a week and will conduct the session Thursday (June 27) with a light agenda of items to be discussed.

Most of the eight action items on the Council's agenda will not take effect until after Fiscal Year 2024-2025 begins on July 1. Among the items to be voted on are contracts with Unified Contracting Services for the Airport Fuel System Relocation Project, Brightly for facility assessment and asset management software, HDR Engineering for designing the Isett Avenue Corridor Reconstruction Project, and Bolton & Menk to study the potential for a Railroad Quiet Zone from the Hershey Lift Station to Dick Drake Way.

Details and additional information on these agenda items can be found by clicking AGENDA and clicking on the June 13 City Council In-Depth Agenda link to view the agenda and/or attachments, or to download a PDF version of the City Council agenda and/or attachments.

The Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. and the public is welcomed, and encouraged, to attend the session in person. Muscatine City Council meetings are open to all individuals regardless of language spoken or disability. Any person requiring a reasonable accommodation to participate should contact the City Clerk's office at 563-264-1500.
