Excessive Heat Watch & Elevated Fire Danger Next Week

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for a majority of the Bay Area, including all of Santa Rosa starting next week, on Tues., July 2 to Fri., July 5. The City of Santa Rosa will continue to monitor the forecast over the next several days, given the extreme heat risk event for a portion of the Watch.

In addition to the heat, elevated fire weather concerns are expected due to high temperatures, low humidity and gusty northerly winds in the North Bay mountains and higher elevations.
