The following is a collection of events happening around Penn State Harrisburg next week.

Events

Disability Awareness Week - Multiple events,Oct. 14-18. Presented by Student Disability Resources, this series of events around campus aims to remove barriers and build community.

2024 Dean's Walk - 9 a.m., Oct. 16, meet in front of Olmsted Building. A quick loop around campus will kick off this year's Exercise is Medicine Day!

Exercise is Medicine - 11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m., Oct. 16, Vartan Plaza. The Kinesiology Club will be hosting their annual Exercise Is Medicine Day event to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of exercise while encouraging students to get moving and stay active. Students will be provided an opportunity to test their grip strength, compete against their friends in a push-up contest and engage in a variety of activities such as football, volleyball, corn hole and more. Healthy snacks will be provided to all students to grab at any point during the event.

The Sales Girl - 6-8:30 p.m., Oct. 16, Kulkarni Theatre. Come see the award-winning film. This free premiere of The Sales Girl will be screened in Mongolian and Russian with English subtitles. This presentation is sponsored by the Kulkarni Theatre, the International Students Office, and is part the Global Ambassador World Film Series. Refreshments will be served. "Faces: Portraits of Students at Penn State Harrisburg" - Through Dec. 20, Hanes Library. Presented by the School of Humanities in collaboration with the Madlyn L. Hanes Library.

"Driving, Designing, and Defying: Women Paving the Way in Automotive History" - Through Dec. 20, Hanes Library.

"Forty-Five Years After the Meltdown: Remembering the Accident at TMI in 2024" - Through Dec. 20, Hanes Library. Please note: Viewing of the exhibition is by appointment only on weekdays (Monday - Wednesday). As availability of the archives is limited, visitors are encouraged to schedule a visit at least two weeks in advance of the requested date/time.
