Celebrating 50 Years: The Community Development Block Grant Program

Goals of the program

It provides grants in cities of 50,000 or more and counties with 200,000 or more residents. The CDBG program has helped to provide quality, low-cost housing and prevent urban blight.

CDBP also funds disaster relief projects, such as building an early childhood educational center in a tornado-ravaged city.
