President Meloni’s statement on Istat labour market figures for Q3 2024

The figures published today by Istat [Italian National Institute of Statistics] regarding the third quarter of 2024 confirm the positive performance of the labour market. The employment rate continued to rise, up to 62.4%, and the unemployment rate continued to fall, standing at 6.1%, down 0.6% compared with the previous quarter.

These figures provide a very encouraging signal. Supporting companies that create jobs and generate wealth is the path we have taken and will continue to follow, because it is the right one to get Italy back on track and competitive again.
