SCDOT to implement temporary lane closures on US 52 in Williamsburg County for road improvements

Columbia, S.C. (September 9, 2024)-The South Carolina Department of Transportation will begin temporary lane closures on part of US 52 from Hodges Road to Mulberry Road in Williamsburg County beginning September, 16, for road improvements. Traffic will be maintained during the lane closures. The work is expected to last until the end of December.

SCDOT anticipates that these lane closures will impact traffic and asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to signs and crews in the work zone. A map of the affected area is below.

You can plan your route ahead of time by using SCDOT's 511 SC app or by visiting 511sc.org. If you can't avoid the area, SCDOT asks that you use caution and slow down when driving near crews.
