MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Quail Creek Avenue CLOSED at Republic Road

In Springfield Beginning Monday, September 16

Where: Quail Creek Avenue CLOSED at Republic Road In Springfield

When: Monday, September 16 until Thursday, October 31

What: Contractor crews to CLOSE Quail Creek Avenue for safety reasons as they resurface the Republic Road bridge deck (driving surface), install new barrier wall and work on the bridge drainage system underneath the bridge.

Traffic Impacts:

• Quail Creek Avenue CLOSED at Republic Road In Springfield
• Business entrances between Kansas Avenue and the west side of the Republic Road bridge will be right-in, right-out only
• The left turn lane to Republic Road will be Closed on Kansas Avenue east of the bridge
• Republic Road and Kansas Avenue are Open
• Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas
• Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
