'Brazen Attempt to Avoid Oversight': Hawley Slams Mayorkas & Wray For Canceling Public Testimony

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) released the following statement slamming Biden's DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and FBI Director Christopher Wray for canceling their scheduled public testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Secretary Mayorkas and Director Wray's refusal to testify publicly today in the Senate is an outrage - and a brazen attempt to avoid oversight for the political abuses at FEMA, the FBI and more. I look forward to Director Wray's resignation

Secretary Mayorkas' latest instance of avoiding responsibility comes the day after Jose Ibarra, an illegal immigrant convicted of murdering 22-year-old Laken Riley of Georgia, was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Ibarra notablygained entrance into the United States by exploiting President Biden's open-border policies that Secretary Mayorkas carried out.

Senator Hawley has repeatedly called on Director Wray to resign, describing the FBI under his leadership as "rife with abuse" and citing the agency's targeting of parents at school-board meetings in Missouri and across the country.
