Senator Marshall on Newsmax: We are Fighting for Election Integrity

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. joined Newsmax to discuss passing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote. Proof of citizenship to vote should not be controversial.

Additionally, Senator Marshall discussed the failed policies of Kamala Harris in contrast to the safe, secure, and affordable policies of the Trump Administration.

Highlights from Senator Marshall's interview include:

On passing the SAVE Act:

"Is there anything more important to the success and vitality of our democracy than election integrity? That's what the law says. The law says that only citizens can vote, so what would be wrong with proving you're a citizen when you go register to vote? Look, last election, what was there, 42,000 votes that separated President Trump from Joe Biden. We need to make sure that doesn't happen again."

"It [the SAVE Act] puts some teeth with it, so that there's actually punishment for this, that if you're voting illegally, if you're registering illegally, there'll be some type of punishment for it. Much like it's against a lot of speed, but we need to say, well, what is the speeding limit? And then here's the punishment for that."

"Nobody can argue that this makes the election less secure. So I think it's all good things, but why are Democrats against them? That's all we need to expose them for this."

On Kamala Harris's disastrous record vs Donald Trump's fight for Americans:

"If you watch that debate, and you're trying to say, who's going to fight for my family? Which one of those two candidates is going to make my family safe again, which one of those candidates is going to bring the price of gas and groceries down, housing?"

"To me, there couldn't have been a bigger contrast. President Trump has proven he can do it before, Kamala Harris is running from a record. She says she has a plan, but she won't tell us what the plan is. I'm very confident going in, Donald Trump's going to get out there and fight, fight, fight for us."

"Our job for the next six weeks we got left is we have to expose Kamala Harris exactly for who she is, and she is the person that ushered in 12 million illegal aliens across into this country. We've lost 300,000 young adults to fentanyl poisoning. They're responsible for the cost of gas and groceries, of rent, of childcare, all these things just blowing up right in front of us."
