Traffic advisory for events on the National Mall and Memorial Parks and George Washington Memorial Parkway September 7, 2024 and September 8, 2024

On Saturday, September 7, 2024 and Sunday September 8, 2024 permitted events will take place along the National Mall and Memorial Parks and the George Washington Memorial Parkway. In conjunction with these events there will be road closures that motorists should take into consideration.

The following roads along the National Mall and Memorial Parks and George Washington Memorial Parkway will be closed from approximately 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024:

• Arlington Memorial Bridge

• Arlington Memorial Circle

• West Potomac Park

• East Potomac Park

• Rock Creek Parkway south of Virginia Avenue NW

• Parkway Drive NW

• 23^rd Street between Constitution Avenue and Independence Avenue

• Henry Bacon Drive

• Daniel French Drive

• Independence Avenue from 15^the Street to 23^rd Street

• 15^the Street between Constitution Avenue and Independence Avenue

• 17^the Street between Constitution Avenue and Independence Avenue

• Madison Drive from 3^rd to 14^the Street

• Jefferson Drive from 3^rd to 14^the Street

The following roads along the George Washington Memorial Parkway will be closed from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024:

• Northbound and Southbound lanes on the GWMP between Mount Vernon Circle and West Boulevard

Access to the GWMP will be closed at the following intersections:

• Vernon View Drive

• River Farm Drive

• Fort Hunt Road

• Waynewood Boulevard

• Collingwood Road

• East Boulevard

• Chadwick Avenue

• Wellington Road
