Mischief/Weapon Investigation – Arrest: C24-148156

On June 29, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., East District General Patrol members responded to a Mischief/Weapon-related incident on Winnipeg Transit near Grassie Boulevard and Lagimodiere Boulevard.

The investigation has determined that a male and female boarded the bus and became involved in a verbal dispute. A short time later, the two disembarked, and the Bus Operator locked the doors. The male suspect requested re-entry but was denied. He then produced a large knife and proceeded to damage multiple bus windows. No one was injured.

Attending officers located the male and female and placed them both into custody.

A 19-year-old male is facing the following charges:

- Possession of a Weapon

- Mischief Under $5000

He was released.

A 16-year-old female was detained under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.
