NOPD Seeking Suspect, Vehicle of Interest in Attempted Abduction Incident

The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate a suspect and a vehicle of interest in its investigation of an attempted abduction incident that occurred on November 10, 2024, at the intersection of Wisner Boulevard and Mirabeau Avenue.

Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. on November 10, the female victim was reportedly jogging along the Wisner Trail between Mirabeau and Harrison avenues when an unidentified male subject allegedly exited a vehicle and forcibly detained the victim. The victim was able to escape and the suspect then fled the location in the vehicle.

The suspect is described as an adult Hispanic male, possibly in his late 20s or early 30s, with an average build standing at about 5'7"-5'8" with chin-length hair.

The vehicle of interest (pictured) is described as either a light brown or gold older-model sedan with a temporary license plate.
