Pitt will host the 2024 Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance Summit

The University of Pittsburgh will serve as the 10th host of the annual Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance National Summit, running from July 14-17.

The summit focuses on addressing financial barriers to degree completion, including food insecurity, homelessness and overall financial fragility. The summit also aims to bring practitioners together to explore how institutions can better provide access to financial education material that would educate students on financial opportunities.

Pitt staff can visit PNC's innovative mobile branch throughout the summit. The fleet of vehicles is outfitted to help customers with in-person banking services and provides financial wellness resources in underbanked communities.

The Summit is sponsored by Fidelity Investments, PNC Bank, Intuit for Education, the National Endowment for Financial Education, and the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education.
