If you have expired or unwanted medications, you can get safely and responsibly get rid of them on Saturday, Oct. 26. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station will be hosting three take-back sites as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The take-back sites are:
Diamond Bar City Hall
21810 Copley Drive
Diamond Bar, CA 91765
Walnut City Hall
21215 La Puente Road
Walnut, CA 91789
Rowland Heights Service Center
1723 Fullerton Road
Rowland Heights, Ca 91764
Medications for disposal must be in a container such as a pill bottle, box, blister pack, or zipped plastic bag, with personal information removed. Sharps, liquids, marijuana pressure canisters, medical equipment and batteries will not be accepted.
Proper disposal of prescriptions reduces the potential for misuse or accidental poisoning, and prevents it from entering and polluting waterways, ground water and soil.

CVS Pharmacy- 300 S. Diamond Bar Blvd.
Every day, 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
Sav-On Pharmacy- 235 S. Diamond Bar Blvd.
Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
