Bridge Replacement Project on Fischer Road at Shoal Creek to begin August 26 and will begin closing, off-site detour will be provided


TURIN - The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will begin constructing a bridge replacement on Fischer Road and Shoal Creek on August 26, 2024. The bridge will be closed for the project's duration until construction is completed. Fischer Road in this area will be closed for 30 days.

The proposed project would construct a new bridge over Shoal Creek that will be built at the current location.

This project would include an off-site detour.

ADVISORY: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
