“Blue Wall” Democrats’ Kamala Problem

"Blue Wall" Democrats' Kamala Problem

October 10, 2024

Democrats in "blue wall" states are increasingly concerned that Kamala Harris is dragging down their campaigns while she's losing support from working-class union members.

Axios: "There's growing worry among Democrats that Harris seems stuck, even sliding a bit, after a strong start to her young presidential campaign. Her media blitz, heavy spending and largely favorable coverage don't seem to be moving the needle much, if at all, these Democrats say."

The Wall Street Journal:"Democrats have privately grown worried about Kamala Harris's standing among working-class voters in the crucial 'blue-wall' states."

Fox News:"Harris has struggled to distance herself from past positions that remain unpopular in the so-called 'Blue Wall' states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, including her previous support for transitioning fully to zero-emissions vehicles by 2035 and a ban on fracking."

Daily Beast:"Crucially, the cracks have started to show in the so-called Blue Wall states-Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania."

"Vulnerable Democrats up and down the ballot are now regretting bear-hugging Kamala Harris, as they realize Kamala and their party is too extreme for blue-collar voters in the Rust Belt. Republicans are welcoming voters with open arms that radical Democrats have ignored for far too long." - NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella
