Update: Two Suspects Charged, Wanted in July Shooting at 10630 Beechnut Street

August 26, 2024- Charges have been filed against two suspects wanted in a shooting incident at 10630 Beechnut Street about 11:10 p.m. on July 26.

The suspects, Dontarious Millender, 19, and Noah Humphries, 19, are charged with burglary with intent to commit a felony in the 178th State District Court. Prior photos of both suspects, who are not in custody, are attached to this news release.

Another suspect, Laron Pijeaux, 18, was charged with burglary with intent to commit a felony in the 179th State District Court. He remains hospitalized with gunshot wounds. An April 2024 booking photo of Pijeaux is attached to this news release.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective C. Brown reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found one male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the male, later identified as Pijeaux, to an area hospital in critical condition.

Officers learned multiple armed suspects with masks kicked in the door of an apartment and started shooting. Pijeaux, one of the suspects, was struck multiple times as shots were fired. The other suspects fled the scene.

Investigators consulted the Harris County District Attorney's Office and Pijeaux was subsequently charged on July 28.

Further investigation and evidence identified Millender and Humphries as additional suspects in this case. The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and both suspects were charged for their roles in the shooting. Millender, Humphries and at least three additional unidentified suspects remain at-large.
